I was sorry to hear that WNCT Channel 9, the CBS affiliate based in Greenville, will not be broadcasting to the Mediacom cable subscribers in many counties in northeastern North Carolina. I guess they will be subjected instead to WTKR Channel 3 in Norfolk, Va.

This will be a great opportunity to see and hear about all the murders, robberies, rapes and fires going on in Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. Also, you get a chance to reflect on the governor, senators and representatives in the state to the north of us that you can’t vote for.

But you will still get some information about our area: The high will be 48, the low will be 37.
