Our presidential candidate, multimillionaire Mitt Romney is one weak front-runner as he comes off as a bit of a strange case. He makes so many out-of-touch goofy comments and lacks concern for struggling people. He doesn’t seem to be connected with his humanity, and I don’t think it has anything to do with his being rich. If he were poor, I think he’d still be a bit strange. To listen to him, you’d think that all the poor sit on hammocks all day doing nothing. Too bad he doesn’t know that the majority of poor people get up at 6 a.m. every day to meet the bus in very rough neighborhoods all over America, and they are not going to Disneyland. They are going to tough, hard jobs that pay very little. It stoked my ire to hear Romney say that he is not concerned about the very poor because there is a safety net for them. The multimillionaire should know that a little safety net is not a hammock. He should know that is not a good life to be poor.

Some of the poor do sit
Some of the poor do sit around in hammocks all day doing nothing. Others work.
Those that work and try to help themselves deserve our help.
Those that sit around in hammocks all day deserve nothing.
