Letter: Shinseki an honorable man who deserved better

It’s a shame Gen. Eric Shinseki had to resign his post as secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs due to all the sand raised by Congress and the American Legion.

How much time

does any newly assigned commander in the military get to straighten out a failing unit? I think Gen. Shinseki knows the answer to that. I think the Gen's legacy is an honorable military officer, but a terrible and ineffective VA head.
