BARCO — Chris Stefenack scored a pair of touchdowns and sophomore quarterback Chris Edwards passed for one as Currituck beat Manteo 27-6 on Monday.

The game was a makeup from Friday, when the threat of storms forced the postponement. With the win, the Knights have now beaten the Redskins the past two seasons.

Currituck fell behind 6-0 but scored 27 unanswered, beginning in the second quarter with a 68 pass from Edwards to River Gwaltney. Charles Nichols finished off the scoring with a 23-yard scamper, capitalizing on one of three Manteo turnovers.

The Knights have a short week to prepare for their Byrd Bowl matchup Friday at Camden.
