Although not entirely gone from the area sports scene, many former and current players — and fellow coaches — were quick to comment on Scott Jones’ impact on football here and beyond.

Thank you for all you have done!

This is what our daughter had to say when she read this article: "I can't even begin to describe how much influence this man had in my life in both sports and in general. After coaching my basketball team for only two seasons he taught me how to strive for greatness in everything I do. I loved going to practices and games were even better. He pushed me to be a better athlete and person... And he would always say "love you" back. Haha he just rocks and I'm so glad I got to play under him. Love you coach Jones thanks for all you do for CCHS." Thank you Coach Jones for all the influence you provided over so many years. You will be missed as a coach, but CCHS is so happy you will still be there as the AD!
