BARCO — Still gathering its bearings following a late start due to the long, but successful football season, Currituck’s basketball team, with a number of those football players on the roster, nearly dug itself out of an 18-point first quarter hole but didn’t have enough left as Bertie held on for a 55-49 win Friday.
