The Albemarle Commission Area Agency on Aging is pleased to announce that entry forms for the 36th annual Albemarle Senior Games are now available. The Albemarle Senior Games will be held in Camden, Currituck, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties in spring 2020.

The program offers friendly competition in many athletic events and artistic categories.

The dates for 2020 include March 23-25, 27, 31, April 3, 7, 8, 16, 20, 23, 27 and May 5, 6, 13 & 19.

Entry forms are available at the Albemarle Commission, local senior centers, Albemarle Lanes, Albemarle Plantation, Albemarle Family YMCA, Currituck Family YMCA, The Links at Mulberry Hill and The Pines, in addition to the Albemarle Senior Games website, www.albemarleseniorgames.org. The deadline to register is Feb. 15.

The Albemarle Senior Games is an exciting health promotion program for adults 50 years of age and better.

There are a wide range of activities designed for individuals at various fitness levels.

Some of these activities are golf, bowling, tennis, track, bocce, pickleball and swimming, as well as special programs such as SilverStriders, the national award-winning walking program and SilverArts, the statewide arts program that celebrates the accomplishments of North Carolina’s senior artists.

The Albemarle Senior Games is sponsored by the Albemarle Commission Area Agency on Aging, and sanctioned by North Carolina Senior Games, Inc.
