Elizabeth City State University has been awarded a $649,566 grant by the National Science Foundation to provide scholarships to 20 students with an interest in biology or mathematics who come from low-income families in rural communities.

Mark Miller, a science coach at the Northeast Academy for Aerospace and Advanced Technology, has been awarded a $500 “Going Local” grant by the North Carolina Farm Bureau as part of its Ag in the Classroom program.
