Law enforcement officials arrested four people and seized two handguns and nearly $22,000 in cash and illegal drugs during a police operation last week.
The Pasquotank Sheriff’s Office said on its Facebook page Friday that the Albemarle Drug Task Force made the arrests and drug and weapon seizures during an operation carried out in the 400 block of Church Street on Tuesday.
The four people arrested include Yakim Amasiah, Jonathan Victor Duong, Jahemian Tyke Raynor and Shelby Alexis Williard, the Facebook post states.
The task force also seized nearly two ounces of heroin and 60 prescription pills, the post states. The sheriff’s office estimates the drugs have an estimated street value of $12,000.
Also seized were two loaded handguns and more than $9,800 in cash, the post states.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Paige is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, trafficking heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver schedule II and schedule IV of a controlled substance, and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of selling or delivering illegal controlled substances. Paige’s secured bond was set at $150,000.
Duong was charged with trafficking heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine. His secured bond was set at $50,000.
Raynor was charged with trafficking heroin. His secured bond was set at $25,000.
Williard was charged with maintaining a dwelling for the manufacture, sale or delivery of a controlled substance. Her secured bond was set at $5,000.
It was not clear Saturday if the four suspects were still in custody. An official at Albemarle District Jail referred a reporter to the jail administrator, who returns to work on Monday.
Participating in the arrests and drug and weapons seizure were deputies and officers with the Sheriff’s Office, Elizabeth City Police Department, and probation/parole officers with N.C. Community Corrections.
