The North Carolina Division of Air Quality has issued a Code ORANGE
Air Quality Alert across NORTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA...for Fine
Particulates.. until midnight EDT tonight.
Air quality is expected to reach code orange...which is unhealthy
for sensitive groups...and means individuals with respiratory
and/or heart ailments...older adults...and children should reduce
prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion.
An Air Quality Alert means that Fine Particulates concentrations
within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. For

U.S. Rep. Don Davis told students at Perquimans County High School last week that he wants to help boost pay for the teachers who make a difference in their lives.
“Listening to the students today, it’s very clear to me that teachers and coaches are making a difference,” Davis said during a meeting with Career and College Promise students from Perquimans County High School on Tuesday, March 14. The meeting was also attended by Perquimans High School Principal Mickey Drew and a few other school administrators.
